Cranberry Cake with

Hot Butter Sauce

Cranberry Cake

3 Tbsp Butter 

1 Cup Sugar

2 Cups Flour 

1 Cup Milk

3 tsp. Baking Powder

1/2 tsp Salt

3 Cups Fresh Cranberries

Hot Butter Sauce

2 Cups Sugar

2 Tbsp. Flour

1 Cup Butter

1 Cup Cream

2 Tbsp Vinegar

2 tsp. Vanilla

 

  1. Mix the cake ingredients in order.

  2. Fold in 3 Cups fresh Cranberries.

  3. Bake at 350º for 30 to 35 minutes in a 9x9 inch greased pan

  4. When Ready to serve Bring the Sauce Ingredients to a Boil.  Serve HOT butter sauce over the hot cake.

  5. The sauce can be made ahead and refrigerated until ready to heat.  

Cranberries are seasonal so buy them and freeze them to use during the summer.
