Leftover Turkey Pot Pie

(Chicken Pot Pie)

1-Dish Bake and Rise Batter

1 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour

1 Tbsp Parsley Flakes

1 Tbsp Sugar

1/2 tsp. Salt

2 envelopes of Rapid-Rise yeast

1 Cup very warm Milk  (120º-130º)

1 Egg

2 Tbsp Corn Oil

Filling

2 Packages Turkey or Chicken gravy Mix (use leftover gravy if you have enough)

2 cups cold water

1 1/2 Tbsp minced Onion

1 1/2 cups Frozen Mixed Vegetables - thawed

2 Cups cooked diced Turkey or Chicken

 

 

  1. Mix batter ingredients in a  8x8 inch baking dish (pre-sprayed with non stick cooking spray)

  2. In a medium sized saucepan stir together gravy mix and water.  Bring to a boil and simmer 1 minute stirring constantly.  Add onion, vegetables and turkey

  3. Top the batter with the turkey mixture

  4. Bake by placing in a COLD oven set to 350º.  Bake for 30 minutes, until baked thoroughly.

  5. Garnish with grape tomato slices and parsley if desired.
