Tomato Bruschetta

1 jar Tomato and Basil Spaghetti Sauce

1 loaf of Crusty Italian Bread

2-3 whole Cloves of Garlic

2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

8 oz fresh mozzarella (cut into thin slices and halved)

Fresh Chopped Basil

 

 

  1. Heat Sauce in a small saucepan until thick for 10-15 minutes.  Set aside

  2. Meanwhile cut bread into1/4 to 1/2 inch slices.  On a baking sheet broil bread on both sides until toasted.  Rub ne side with garlic clove and the other side brush with olive oil

  3. Top each slice of bread with a slice of cheese.  Broil until cheese is slightly melted (1-2 minutes).  Remove from oven and spoon a teaspoon of sauce on top.  

  4. Garnish with fresh basil

  5. Serve immediately.

Makes approximately 36 slices.
