Barbeque Pork Spare Ribs |
| 3-4 lbs | Pork Spare Ribs (I use country style) |
| 3 cups | Ketchup |
| 3 Tbsp | Vinegar |
| 1/4 cup | Water |
| 2 Tbsp | Worcestershire Sauce |
| 3 Tbsp | Brown Sugar |
| 1 Tbsp | Butter |
| 1 tsp | Salt |
| 1 tsp | Paprika |
| 2 Tbsp | Chile Powder (1 tsp if you want a mild sauce) |
| 1/2 tsp | Red pepper |
| 1/8 tsp | Onion Powder |
| 1/8 tsp | Garlic Powder |
|
|
|
|
Boil Spare Ribs for about 40 minutes and remove from water. While Ribs are boiling mix the rest of the ingredients and simmer on stove to reduce to a consistency that allows basting. You can add more brown sugar if sauce is too tangy or more vinegar if sauce is too sweet. ALSO if you wish a milder sauce.. use 1 tsp chile powder Place ribs in a non-stick baking pan or spray pan with non-stick cooking spray and pour sauce over top.. reserving a little for dipping or basting if finishing on the grill. Bake at 325 for about 2 1/2 hours or until meat falls off the bone. If you wish you can finish the ribs by grilling them on a medium heat for 5 to 10 minutes on high. If you do this remove the ribs from the over after about 2 hours and spray grill with non-stick cooking spray (for grills) or lightly brush grates with oil. |
