New
England Apple Pie
6 c. thinly sliced apples (slice very thin)
3/4
c. sugar
2
TBSP flour
1
tsp. cinnamon
1 package of pie crusts (2 crusts)
Preheat
oven to 400 degrees.
Mix sugar, floor, and cinnamon in a bowl.
Place the sliced apples in a separate bowl.
Pour the flour mixture over the apples and stir until the apples
are coated.
Take the pie crusts from the refrigerator and remove from wrapping.
One at a time, place each crust on a paper towel
and microwave for ten seconds to soften.
Do each crust separately.
Place one crust in the bottom of a pie plate, then add the apples.
Put the second crust on top and squeeze together the edges of top
and crusts to seal.
Make five slits on the top piecrust – I generally make some type
of decorative design.
Bake until sugar has a liquid consistency and the crust is golden
brown: this generally takes 30 minutes.
Cool pie on a rack.
Enjoy!
