4th of July Cake

1 box |
White or Yellow Cake Mix |
|
|
Water, Oil and Eggs according to
directions on cake mix |
|
1 tub |
Vanilla frosting or whipped
topping |
|
1/2 c |
Blueberries |
|
1 1/2 pints |
Strawberries - sliced in 1/2 |
|
13x9x2 pan |
|
|
|
|
|
Preheat oven to 350°.
Grease (or lightly spray with non stick cooking spray) |
|
|
bottom of 13x9x2"
rectangular baking pan. |
|
|
Mix cake mix according to
directions using water, oil and eggs. Pour into baking pan. |
|
|
Bake 33 to 38 minutes or until
cake tester comes out clean. You may need to decrease |
|
|
baking time 2 to 3 minutes if
you are using a dark or nonstick pan. Remove from oven |
|
|
When done and cool forr10
minutes. Remove from pan and continue to cook on wire |
|
|
rack for 1 hour. |
|
|
Frost with frosting or whipped
topping. Arrange berries on top of icing to form a flag |
|
|
design. Serve immediately.
If using whipped topping remember to store in refrigerator. |
