KIFLI (NUT HORNS) Filling
ingredients 4 cups nuts,
ground 1 cup sugar 6 egg
whites Dough
Ingredients 4 cups flour 2 cups oleo or margarine
softened 4 egg yolks beaten 1 cup sour
cream FILLING 1 Combine filling ingredients
and cook until sugar is dissolved is thick. Set aside to
cool DOUGH 1 Place Flour in large bowl,
cunt in margarine until it resembles coarse crumbs (like
pie dough) 2 Add egg yolks and sour cream.
Mix until combined well 3 Turn out on floured surface
and knead until smooth and not sticky. Kneed in additional
four if needed. 4 Refrigerate 5 Roll out 1/4 of the dough on a
floured surface to 16" by 12" and 1/8 "
thick 6 Cut into squares and put 1/2
tsp filling in the center. overlap corners and pinch to
seal 7 Place
on greased cookie sheet, brush with beaten egg and bake at
400 for 12 min or until brown.
